Kindergarten Registration

Wednesday, March 14 and Wednesday, May 16

 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 Children may enter school if they are 5 years old on or before September 30, 2012.

 Documents to bring to registration:

-  A certified copy of State birth Certificate

-  A certificate of physical examination from a physician or health department

-  An immunization certificate containing complete dates for Hepatitis B, DPT, polio, varicella and MMR immunizations

-  Proof of residency in the city of Suffolk  (i.e.  water, gas, or electric bill)

Volunteer forms

If you would like to volunteer in Suffolk Public Schools or participate in classroom activities, please fill out a Request to Volunteer form and return it to school.

Classroom celebrations

If you are going to provide snacks for classroom celebrations and school parties, they must meet Suffolk Public Schools Wellness Policy guidelines.  Please go to the following website to view the SPS Approved Snack List.  Birthday cupcakes  may also be ordered from the school cafeteria.

Suffolk Public Schools partners with two before- and after-school care programs.

 YMCA at SCHOOL- Before school care from 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. or after school care from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. For more information call the Suffolk YMCA at 757-934-9622 (YMCA) or visit their website www.ymcashr.org.

The web-based program, myLunchMoney.com, is offered at all schools.

myLunchMoney.com provides peace of mind to parents and faster lunch lines for students. Parents can prepay for their child’s school food charges, using a credit card through a secure website.  The program also allows parents to set spending limits and to monitor what their children are buying in the cafeteria.  All personal and payment card information is protected by the most advanced Internet security.  Student information is safe and private.  Parents of current students will register directly on the website, using their child’s student ID number.
